About Cross Border Markets

Cross Border Markets (CBM), headquartered in the New York City metro area, was established in 2011 by two former Citibank corporate bankers.  Its initial mission was to originate, structure, and negotiate long term development loans on behalf of emerging market borrowers.  In 2012 CBM expanded its activities into the complementary areas of financial advisory, marketing advisory, equity sourcing, and origination of political risk insurance. 

The firm focuses on small and medium enterprises (SME) and financial institutions with active SME businesses.  Our clients are established SME firms in developed countries who wish to enter into or expand their businesses in the emerging markets as well as emerging markets domiciled organizations.  We are also engaged in large infrastructure projects with sovereign and sub-sovereign entitles with U.S. project developers.

The Founders of CBM are experienced international bankers with decades spent living and working in the emerging markets, primarily in Eastern Europe, the Former Soviet Union and the Middle East.  The firm's work is augmented by associates in New York and Washington D.C.  It draws upon an extensive network of former colleagues working in emerging markets and strategic alliance partners that offer specific product expertise required by our clients.
